Teen Poet's Society In-Person

Join fellow teen wordsmiths every Wednesday evening to discover the secrets of weaving together vowels and consonants until they hum, snap, and POP!

Discuss crazy things like:

  • What the heck makes a poem a poem?
  • Does it really matter which road we take, Mr. Frost?
  • Why did Emily stuff all her writing into a drawer?

We'll meet dead poets, alive poets, outrageous poets and secret poets. Then we'll try our hand at writing everything from haikus to slam pieces. Perfection is not expected. We welcome messy writing!  The beauty is in the process.

This program is open to teens ages 13-17. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at (817) 459-6900 or by email at LIBYouthServices@arlingtontx.gov.

Thank you to the Friends and Foundation of the Arlington Public Library for their generous support of our programming.
