Family Storytime; Eric Carle Day! In-Person

Join our fabulous librarian storytellers for a morning celebrating the stories of Eric Carle! Enjoy songs, puppets, and “Characters of Carle”-inspired activities. This program is designed for ages 2-5, but all ages are welcome to attend.

“Eric Carle is acclaimed and beloved as the creator of brilliantly illustrated and innovatively designed picture books for very young children. His best-known work, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, has eaten its way into the hearts of literally millions of children all over the world and has been translated into 66 languages and sold over 50 million copies. Since the Caterpillar was published in 1969, Eric Carle has illustrated more than seventy books, many best sellers, most of which he also wrote, and more than 152 million copies of his books have sold around the world.” – Eric Carle Museum

Storytime is both a thoughtful and fun way to encourage children’s love of books. It will also set them into motion as future budding readers! Join our fabulous library staff as we explore stories, rhymes, songs, and more.

This program is developmentally appropriate for ages 2-4. To help all the children get the most out of their experience, we encourage you to listen, sing, and wiggle along with your little ones. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at (817) 459-6900 or by email at LIBYouthServices@arlingtontx.gov.

Thank you to the Friends and Foundation of the Arlington Public Library for their generous support of our programming.
