Authors in Arlington: Alicia Salazar In-Person

The Arlington Public Library is proud to present Authors in Arlington, a new program focused on connecting the community with popular and influential authors. We are happy to host Alicia Salazar for a special Dia de los Ninos event! She is a Mexican-America children's book author and former elementary school teacher and marine biologist. She is the author of the popular Camila series, which focus on the many adventures of the title character, Camila Maria Flores Ortiz. She has also authored books regarding Dia de los Muertos, the Loch Ness Monster, and Trolls.

Please join us for this special event to learn more about her life and becoming an author, her writing, and her books. Afterwards we will have a moderated Q&A session as well a book signing for those who would like to have their books signed. This event is perfect for children 5 and up. This event will be taking place in the Hall at the East Library and Recreation Center.

This program is free and open to the public, no registration required, however space is limited. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at (817) 459-6900 or by email at LIBYouthServices@arlingtontx.gov.

This program is made possible by a grant from The Institute of Museum and Library Services and The Texas State Libray and Archives Commission. Thank you to the Friends and Foundation for the Arlington Public Library for their generous support of our programming.
