International Genealogy Day Celebration In-Person
To mark International Genealogy Day, the Arlington Genealogical Society (AGS) and the Arlington Public Library invite you to a celebration of our family roots. Interested children and teens are welcome also, as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
We’ll meet on the 3rd floor of the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library in the Genealogy and Local History Room.
After exploring our book and map collections, we will hear how our Retro Tech Lab allows us to view our past, recorded in outdated media. We will then proceed to the Excellence Room on the 3rd floor to see and hear more about Family History research from AGS members and professional genealogists.
Door prizes will be given to participants to round out the day and AGS members will be present to help answer questions.
This is the perfect chance to explore your family's history, with the guidance of friendly experts who can't wait to share tips and tools and techniques!
