Black History Month: "African-American Genealogy Research" presented by Christopher Bryant, sponsored by Arlington Genealogical Society In-Person / Online

Join the Arlington Genealogical Society on the second Tuesday of each month (except July and August) for a social time starting at 6:00, a short business meeting occurring at 6:30, and especially for the informative presentation that follows! This event is made possible through a vibrant partnership between the Arlington Public Library and the Arlington Genealogical Society (AGS) and is open to members and visitors alike.
 

Feb. 11, 2025 — Christopher Bryant (C.D. Bryant Genealogy) — African-American Research 

The speaker will, "give a brief summary of who I am and what I do, explaining about Black History and give some interesting facts and details about African Americans and their journey. The presentation will also include an explanation about census records, vital records, and military records and how they can be used to research. There will be a section explaining the process of DNA tests and how it coincides with the document research. Finally, I will end with a personal case study that will show how I used all of these strategies to solve my own family mysteries."
