The Arlington Public Library in conjunction with Texas Workforce Solutions offers free ESL classes for adult residents of Tarrant County. To enroll in our classes, you must attend a registration session. At registration, you will fill out intake forms and take a placement exam. Once you have completed enrollment, our staff will review the results to place you in the correct class. Our classes are taught as immersive English classes and are not dual language classes. We offer both morning and evening class and have 4 levels. Please reserve your place at the registration by clicking View More. We have a limited number of spots available, so a reservation is required.
To join our program, you must:
- Be a Tarrant County resident
- Be over 19 years of age
- Provide an unexpired form of photo identification such as a state-issued ID, Driver's license, passport, other official documents issued by a foreign government agency (consular card, etc.), or birth certificate with accompanying photo ID.
- Know the password to your email account (You will need to sign into your account for part of the registration)**
- Commit to 4 hours per week of language instruction
- Dedicate time outside of class to improve your English
